Benin’s compass from 2026
THE VISION OF DANIEL EDAH
An economically prosperous and socially stable Benin, in a well-integrated and booming Africa.
This is the vision of Daniel ÉDAH, the compass of his political commitment.
Benin economically prosperous
A prosperous Benin is an attractive country for domestic and foreign investors, a transit country valued by our hinterland neighbors, a hub for quality services, and a country that invests in the production and processing of its raw materials to generate jobs, meet national needs, and stimulate exports. It is about abandoning the consumer economy and resolutely committing to building a production and processing economy. The production and processing economy implies the essential industrialization of the country with the establishment of production, processing, and service units in all municipalities and the significant investment in the knowledge and information economy thanks to the multiple opportunities offered by information and communication technologies.
Socially stable Benin
Regular consultation between old and new leaders, the culture of state continuity, inclusive governance for all, including Beninese abroad and the African diaspora, the development of human capital compatible with the needs of the production and processing economy, the active promotion of women and young people at all levels of governance in accordance with the country’s age pyramid, and the implementation of infrastructure projects that ensure the harmonious and balanced development of all the communes of Benin, bring the regions closer together and consolidate national unity.
Africa well integrated and booming
Africa that encourages the complementarity of African countries, that pools its resources and skills to meet the challenges of security, energy and the development of new human capital in order to achieve the objectives of the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and beyond. This requires strengthening ties with our neighboring countries, starting with our neighbors: Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso and Togo. It also implies mobilizing for an in-depth reform of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the consolidation of the African Union, renewed cooperation with our traditional partners and the essential opening to the rest of the world.
